Daz 3D integration or Object prep tutotrial

Hello, I really could use your software if there was a clear tutorial on how to prepare Daz models, particularly Genesis 3 obj at and after exportation for use in Wrap 3. I have been trying now for 2 days and my trial is almost at an end. While you meshes work with my scans, all efforts to use exported genesis model grays out Wrap “Compute button”. I was really hoping this could work and would even pay extra just for this feature. Currently I have 9 models I need to transfer to genesis 3 body. Any help appreciated so I can confidently purchase your software. IT is great!

If you need to extend your trial period, please let me know

“Hello! I’ll create a complete tutorial on this topic soon”
Hello.. I can’t find the complete tutorial.. is there a link somewhere ?

Hey, sorry, not yet ready. I will send you a PM with my Skype in a minute. You can call me any time and ask if there are any difficulties with wrapping DAZ model, ok?

thank you very much !

Hello Andrew,

I am hobbyist, and I have purchased quite a few 3d body scans online. I would like to wrap them around my daz models to get a more realistic shape for my characters. I am having trouble wrapping a 3d body scan to a daz genesis model. I understand that the model needs to be a single component. However, I could not figure out how to do that with the video you posted in the form. I am new and complete novice at 3d modeling outside of daz. I am using both a trial for 3dmax and your wrap 3.3 to see if I can make this work (shown in the video you posted). If I could get help figuring this issue out, I believe the cost of your program is worth it me. I am fairly confidant that I can setup the parameters in wrap in the correct way following your video posted and tutorials on the website, just setting up the right requirements for the Daz base mesh to work is what stopping me.

Could you either give me detailed instructions on how to achieve this process with a genesis model. Or a link to a single component base mesh that would work with the genesis model?

As a side note, I did see on a form post that this maybe done with zbrush which i own and somewhat muttle around in, unlike 3dmax which I have zero clue on how to use besides what i saw you do in the video.

Thank you in advance,

Kimima

Still waiting in this tutorial.

Would love an actual full tutorial on this from exporting the base genesis figures all the way up to getting the final product back into Daz, because I feel like its pretty much impossible with what little information is out there. I’ve been struggling with this program for weeks and I have yet to get a single thing done in it. Its not doing a good job of making me want to ditch the trial to full-on buy it. Everything is so complicated and with every answer being pointed back to the 6-minute “DazExample” video, it doesn’t help at all. Constantly getting something floating with geometry, or something not matching the base geometry, the nodes are too confusing. Need an actual dedicated tutorial, more than a 6 minute clip with nothing explained.

Hi csdecesare,

Sorry for the late response. I’ve prepared a short video on how to wrap multi-component basemesh (exported from DAZ Studio) using Wrap 2020.08. This pipeline is also working with previous versions of Wrap.
Hope it would be helpful for you.

Please let me know if it’s working for you or you wanna see more functionality of Wrap.

After watching the Youtube video, that gets me a better idea. Although I’m confused with what those 3 text files contain or where to get them in the first place.
Wish the program could identify what the floating geometry is and give us the option to hide them.

Perhaps a video with a vocal walkthrough would be better. Do all daz characters have the exact same floating geometry? I’m using a female in this case.
