track with out markers?

Hey I’m new to wrap4D/track. Are there any solutions to tracking a face that did not have any marking dots applied to the face? It seems like having the points on the face is fundamental to the process.

Also, is there any option for loading in an animated abc sequence that is stored a single file, or must the animated alembics be individual files.

Thanks for any info,
MW

Hi MW,

Sorry for such a delay in response, our forum was inactive for a while. But better late than never, right?

It is possible to track a face just by relying on the skin features but it’s more difficult than with dots. Dots or markers make 4D processing much more robust. Skin appearance can change drastically and markers help us a lot, for example, with extreme facial expressions. It’s easier to track them.

The animated alembics must be individual files. It works the same as with obj files.
